On the 22nd of December 2009, the Master Singers Men’s Chorus of St.George, Utah performed at the St. George Tabernacle. I was asked to sing a solo with Mrs. Dana Matthews on the piano. It was “A Cradle in Bethlehem”. The microphone system was very good. When I finished, the announcer said something about my “very fine voice” and after wards, as I thanked folks for attending at one of the east doors, someone said I sounded better than Willie Nelson. Another soloist’s daughter said I “sounded like Willie Nelson only better.”I told her it was the day and the song. I believe that true because one night at a karaoke sing in a lady’s home I “sounded just like Neil Diamond”. Never have been able to do that since. At times past Nat King Cole, Glen Yarborough, Pat Boone,and others have been who people thought I sounded like. Must just be the day and the song. What do you think? Listen to my Karaoke recordings on My Space and my video recordings there too, but close your eyes when you do and tell me who you think I sound like on different songs.
