How to fight evil?

How to fight evil?

What do when someone wants to do evil to you.
Say no. Tell some one. Make lots of noise. Get everyone around you to join in your cause by awakening them to the situation.

Example a  Brit film about a  girl and a perverted old man.
The  girl was invited along to a film by her aunt’s gentleman friend.
He sat between them and during the film put his hand on the girls leg.   She pushed him away.
He put it back and began to rub her leg.   She got up and went to the rest room.

When she returned she sat on the far side of her aunt away from the man.

But she never told her aunt what happened nor did she say anything about it.

What should she have done?
Push him away.   Then say “No” out loud.

Then  stood and slapped the man and then told everyone what was happening.

Evil doesn’t want to be revealed.   That would have stopped it then and for future times.

Rosemary and the thieves in her house.
One night this woman was awakened by people in her laundry room adjacent her bedroom.
She told them to leave and then called the police.
The police told her to go to the street and wait for them as it would take them about twenty minutes to arrive.
She complied.   Before they arrived, the people in her house had gone into the rest of her house and stole items,
even clothes from her closet.
What should she have don’t?
This is what I would have done: turned the radio and television on full blast and gone out to my pickup
and blasted the horn till the whole neighbor was awake and calling the police.
Evil wants to remain hidden and in the dark.
Expose it to the light and it will run.

A friend on the SingSnap Karaoke  site commented on one of my recordings, wondering what I’d been doing.

He’d been writing and recording all summer.

Hear his “What have they done?” Musical

See Act 3 at:  http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/watchandlisten/play/ad93eaa79

He lives and works in Nashville, Tennessee.

I wrote back:

Thanks Randy for the inspiring comment.

Besides the English songs on SingSnap, I’ve recorded about 80 songs in German
(my foreign tongue) and I’ve tried  Hawaiian,  Spanish, Italian, Japanese,
Yiddish and Hebrew(much like German), Gulah and Cajun, and even the tough
one for me-French.    http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/member/jaybeacham
A number of years ago, I wrote a song called “Go To The Light”.
This summer a great local music teacher, Jacob Nielsen made a new and
better arrangement of it. As soon as I can get a recording of the music,
I’ll record it here on SingSnap and send it to you to get your opinion about it.
Besides work which sometimes is hectic but the last 2 months has been almost none existent but has started up again, I’ve done a few things that I’ll send you links to if you don’t mind.
Finally some voice work in June narrating for two fine new products to the market place (actually improvements to old ideas).

Thought for the day

Posted by on 19 Jul 2015 | Tagged as: blog

A friend posted on fb that he thought the posting of political items was negative and
shouldn’t prevade our thoughts.
Of course, he brought religion in to prove his case.
We all do that to prove our point.
Saying that it is raining or that one is hungry, tired, jobless, homeless, moneyless,
or that some policial issue should be attended to is the statement of fact.
Negative maybe but fact none the less.
Should we ignore all facts not to our liking?

Consider this scripture?

10 Which dark and blackening deeds are enough to make hell itself shudder, and to stand aghast and pale, and the hands of the very devil to tremble and palsy.

11 And also it is an imperative duty that we owe to all the rising generation, and to all the pure in heart—

12 For there are many yet on the earth among all sects, parties, and denominations, who are blinded by the subtle craftiness of men, whereby they lie in wait to deceive, and who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it—

13 Therefore, that we should waste and wear out our lives in bringing to light all the hidden things of darkness, wherein we know them; and they are truly manifest from heaven—

14 These should then be attended to with great earnestness.

15 Let no man count them as small things; for there is much which lieth in futurity, pertaining to the saints, which depends upon these things.
- Doctrine and Covenants 123:10 -15

Enough said.
